Here are some signs and symptoms they may signify you may possibly be pregnant:

  • Fatigue
Fatigue is due to increased levels of the hormone progesterone in your body. Your body is starting to go through a major change. This will generally last for the 1st trimester, then go away for your 2nd trimester and may return in your 3rd trimester.

  • Morning Sickness
Morning sickness is nausea or vomiting which occurs about 4-5 weeks after conception. Morning sickness may not only happen in the morning. It is possible to have this feeling all throughout the day. Some women are luckly and do not experience any morning sickness at all.

  • Frequent Urination
During pregnancy your body starts to retain more fluids, which then is also processed by your kidneys. More frequent urination will occur as the baby gets larger and starts to push on your bladder.

  • Tender & Swollen Breasts
Sensitive, tender, swollen breasts are due to the increase of increasing levels of hormones in your body. This symptom should eventaully diminish after the 1st trimester.

  • Bleeding & Cramping
About 10-12 after ovulation, you may have what is called implantation bleeding. This is when the fertilized egg is implanting into the uterus. The bleeding will be light and should only last for a few days.

  • Late/Missed Period
If you ususally have a normal period cycle and are late more than 5 days, it may be a good time to take a pregnancy test. Although you may also be just having an odd cycle. It is better to be sure if you are pregnant or not so you can start taking good care of your body and baby.

  • A Positive Pregnany Test
If you are more than a couple of days late for a normal period cycle and you are experiencing any of the other symptoms above, it may be time to take a pregnancy test. You can either go to your local store to purchase one, or you may go to your family doctor to confirm whether or not you are pregnant. A pregnany test checks your hCG human chorionic gonadotropin) levels. If your pregnancy test is positive, contact your doctor to set up your first pregancy appointment. At this appointment, you will get information about being pregnant and you will have a chance to ask any questions you may have.
